Take your time getting to know someone before meeting in person. Use IF's chat to have real conversations and look for consistency in what they tell you.
Protect your personal information
Don't share your home address, workplace, or financial details with someone you haven't met. Keep conversations on IF until you're comfortable.
Meet in public
For first meetings, choose a well-lit public place like a café or restaurant. Avoid isolated locations and don't agree to be picked up at your home.
Tell someone your plans
Let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back. Share your live location if you can.
Arrange your own transport
Drive yourself, use rideshare, or take public transport so you can leave whenever you want. Don't rely on your date for a ride home.
Stay sober and aware
Keep an eye on your drinks and stay alert. If something feels off, trust your instincts and leave.
Report and block
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can block them instantly from their profile or chat. Use the report function to alert our moderation team — we review every report.
In an emergency
If you feel unsafe, call your local emergency services immediately. Your safety always comes first.
